Well, you have a point, but I think they are afraid that if they change it too much, it may ruin the balance and it would be a complete failure. I think they are doing a good job for how daunting the task is, and I'm looking forward to it with full optimism. Besides, with all the new units, imagine all the new strategies too! This should make pro StarCraft games very interesting to watch.

Some sort of specialized repair probe for the protoss would be good, having an awesome unit (like the mothership in the gameplay vid on the SC2 site) get damaged to like 10 armor, then being unable to repair, then have it die quickly when you send it into battle is annoying.
Or just a repair center for units would be nice =\

For an incomplete game the footage looked amazing, and the new features for the protoss look fine.
Another good change though would be the templar/dark templar. They would be better off as optional upgrades to the zealot. Deciding which ones to build individually is just annoying because the templar has good psionic abilities but he's hella weak, and the dark templar is only effective when he's invisible to enemies or in large numbers, and the zealot just falls inbetween.

I don't think the overall strangth of the protoss should be tempered, but the strategic advantages of the zerg/terrans should be improved. I think they're already doing that in SC2 already though.
It looks like they're building it from the ground up so people probably don't have to worry about problems from SC resurfacing in #2.

Yup, and a repair unit for the Protoss would make them over powered. Their inability to repair buildings and units is supposed to be one of their weaknesses.

Lol, Beavo, I guarantee you, as cool as it sounds, a new race would ruin the game.

-Maxing over 200 units? Why the hell. When you play in multiplayer you never reach the max limit unless you arnt playing seriously cos stuff is constantly dying. Leave that option for use map settings, not for campaigns or multiplayers.

-The computer AI is something that MUST be improved, cos it sucks.

-An in-game timer would be cool. For time measurement purposes and just to know what time it is haha. Prettey useful in those no rush games. U know, just a little timer on the top of the screen.

-Resource sharing? Hell please no! haha. I dont wans some suckers asking me for minerals.

-Traveling in others people dropships or enetering their bunkers would be great, tho it would have quite some repercutions in gameplay and strategy. Im not so sure about it, but it would certainly add realism.

-An "idle worker" button

-Selecting multiple structures for fastet mass production

-More resources during game start. Or no resources at all but 5 workers. (Why have 50 mins if the only thing the players gonna do is build another worker). Not even the 5 pool rush uses those 50 mins.
And ten minerals per harvest.

-A message when someone allies or un-allies you.

-A more extensive soundtrack. Calmer during the games 5 mins, then becoming normal, not necesarily dependant on the battlefield situation.

-The return of the map percentage download indicator.

Thatd be all I can think about now.

Ah yeah... more guts and bloodspill!
