Does anyone think Blizzard will charge a fee of some sort to use battle.net? I hope not, but with WoW and how they are generating so much revenue, they might consider it with SC2, which would be complete crap. Anyways, post your thoughts.

I really hope they dont do such a thing.. People going to hate blizzard and its bad for reputation. Therefore Blizzard wouldnt do it.

I think the only reason that they included a fee in WoW was it cost so much to make, that it would be hard to make a good profit off of it just by letting people buy the game itself. But imagine how much they must have made off of it now. Millions of people play it, all paying like 20$ a month. That adds up fast.

But on topic now.. I don't think they will. Because they obviously already have a very strong StarCraft fanbase, with the thousands of people who still play the game after like 10 years... So it might piss those people off if they added a fee.

So I voted no. Because they probably would have indicated otherwises, unless they still havn't decided.

Well, if they charge 20 a month on a 50 dollar game, it could be less popular and they would make more money. Say only half the expected people bought it because of the fee, they would still have made up the price in 2 months of charging us with gay fees. I personally think its all about money now days..

Single play of sc2 would be rocking too.. For people who never played starcraft, it would be surprise for them. So they might just buy cd, and not play online if they are poor to support for monthly online fee.

They might charge, but if they do there won't be much hackers

it would be best if the b net did not charge because its more fun if they dont charge i mean they charge for wow and that makes it gay!!

I certainly hope not it will deter people from playing it.
